In a world divided by invisible yet deeply felt boundaries, people choose to live either frozen in certainty or thawed in motion and change. Claire exists on the frozen side, Though she feels the pull toward something more, the cost of change has always felt too great.

Her perspective begins to shift when she reconnects with Riley, who lives on the other side. To him, crossing the boundary is not a life-altering transformation, but something simple, ordinary, even. Through their interactions, Claire is forced to confront the reality that the life she fears may not be as unattainable as she believes.
